Amiress Asemota’s journey into luxury weddings began at the age of nineteen when she was asked to coordinate her youth director’s wedding just days before the ceremony. The urgency, complexity, and emotional weight of the moment revealed her natural ability to lead, curate, and execute with grace. That experience ignited a lifelong passion for weddings and meaningful celebrations.

Throughout her undergraduate years, Amiress immersed herself in the world of hospitality and experiential events. She supported and hosted a spectrum of engagements—from philanthropic fundraisers to curated travel experiences, including a trip to the NBA All-Star Game. Her exposure to high-touch guest relations and diverse event environments laid the foundation for the elevated experience her clients enjoy today.

Following university, she accepted a role within the City of North Miami, first serving in the Community Events Department before her promotion into the City Manager’s Office in Public Relations. There, she was entrusted with citywide ceremonies, protocol-sensitive engagements, and public-facing events serving thousands of residents. Her ability to manage logistics, communicate across departments, and steward public interests further refined her event leadership.

After several distinguished years serving the City of North Miami, Amiress transitioned into full-time entrepreneurship, founding The Wedding Planner, LLC to pursue her calling in private weddings. Her clientele quickly grew to include discerning couples who valued curated design, cultural fluency, intentional hospitality, and stress-free execution. For Amiress, the honor was never merely producing a wedding—it was being entrusted with the beginning of a family legacy.

In time, the planner became the bride. Amiress married her incredible husband and soon after began growing their family. With small children at home, she made the intentional decision to slow her capacity in weddings and lean into work that allowed for deeper presence. Guided by her love for people and meaningful connection, she pursued graduate studies and earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Today, Amiress selectively accepts a limited number of weddings each year, allowing her to curate a more intimate and elevated planning experience. Her unique blend of hospitality expertise and clinical insight provides her couples and their families with an experience defined not only by beauty and precision—but by emotional care, discretion, and cultural understanding.

With more than twenty years in the wedding and events industry, Amiress considers it a privilege to walk alongside her couples as they enter one of life’s most sacred new chapters.
